About This Role

This role involves learning to evaluate and ensure compliance of child/adult care programs with licensure regulations. You will partner with facilities, investigate complaints, and recommend actions for licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct monitoring visits to providers to support compliance with rules and monitor quality, documenting findings.
  • Serve as a technical advisor and point of contact for assigned providers on questions regarding rules, applications, grants, and rating assessment systems.
  • Identify programs needing improvements and assist in coordinating activities with quality partners to facilitate improvement plan development.
  • Utilize internal monitoring and quality assessment tools to document necessary program features for reporting needs.
  • Determine and evaluate solutions to potential barriers to licensure compliance and unique program needs.
  • Investigate complaints of alleged violations of licensure regulations, including potential abuse, neglect, illegal actions, and illegal operators.
  • Provide recommendations for actions against agencies based on monitoring and/or investigation results and may testify in court.
  • Advise on developmentally appropriate practices by providing innovative technical assistance.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with child/adult care providers and other internal/external partners.
  • Identify and coordinate training for providers related to children's health and safety, business development, early childhood education, or other needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1 year of professional experience in child/adult care program evaluation or administration, care of children/adults, professional education, professional human or social services, or related para-professional experience
  • Ability to complete a criminal history disclosure form
  • Willingness to submit to a review of the Indicated Persons Registry of the Department of Children's Services
  • Agreement to release all records involving criminal history to the appointing authority
  • Ability to supply a fingerprint sample for a criminal history records check
  • Willingness to submit to a review of status on the Department of Health's vulnerable persons registry
  • Valid driver's license

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • One year of full-time professional experience in child/adult care program evaluation or administration, care of children/adults, professional education, professional human or social services, or para-professional experience.
