About This Role

The Customer Service Specialist provides excellent customer service and support to the public by answering phones, maintaining databases with confidential information, and informing clients of community resources. This role primarily focuses on public interaction and administrative tasks to improve services for Pinal County citizens.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones continuously to limit client hold time.
  • Maintain a database by entering client and/or patient confidential information.
  • Inform clients and citizens of community and county resources.
  • Determine eligibility and provide accurate scheduling.
  • Answer all inquiries by clarifying desired information.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
  • Promote and adhere to the workplace values of accountability, commitment, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One (1) year of clerical and computer experience

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One (1) year of clerical and computer experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Nice to Have

  • Valid Arizona State Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of Business English, spelling, and arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of clerical and office practices and procedures.
  • Skill in using data processing systems and other office equipment and machines.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
