About This Role

Oversee traffic safety and ensure safe and efficient roadways throughout Pinal County. This role involves reviewing road speeds, traffic impact analyses, and managing projects related to traffic control devices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee established road speeds on the roadways, perform studies, and work with consultants to establish warrants or needs of particular roads
  • Review Traffic Impact Analysis reports for new development projects
  • Review private development and Pinal County Capital Improvement Plans for appropriate installation of traffic control devices
  • Manage projects as they relate to traffic safety and efficiency
  • Coordinate and communicate with Pinal County Sheriff's Office
  • Maintain contact and communicate with the traveling public
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering, or related field
  • Five (5) years of professional experience
  • Valid Arizona State Driver's License required within 30 days of hire
  • Professional Engineer in Civil (P.E.) designation
