About This Role

This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound package activities, providing customer service for shipping needs, and managing parcel operations within a venue using an electronic tracking system. This team member will interface with internal and external customers and maintain proficiency in various computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all shipping related services and activities, including maintaining logs of incoming and outgoing parcels
  • Prepare parcels for pickup by delivery drivers and sort incoming parcels
  • Utilize proprietary software and equipment for job functions
  • Provide customer service, anticipating needs, suggesting alternatives, and problem-solving
  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping, inserting, weighing, and labeling items
  • Utilize pallet jacks and other large package handling equipment
  • Determine appropriate shipping methods and inform customers of company products, services, routes, and rates
  • Ensure quality customer service by providing packaging services and product information
  • Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and set priorities for customer requests
  • Troubleshoot routine equipment problems and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in center functions
  • Operate the point of sale terminal (POS) for package handling fees and daily close-out procedures
  • Perform administrative duties including bidding, ordering supplies, and inventory control
  • Take customer orders, give pricing information, and perform consultative selling for digital printing technology
  • Perform all other duties as needed or requested

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum six months of related experience
  • Proven strong organization and planning skills
  • Action-oriented with customer-focused and results-driven aptitude
  • High integrity with professional image through effective written and verbal communication
  • Excellent team building and collaborative skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to accurately translate and record information into electronic tracking system with 100% accuracy
  • Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software applications quickly
  • Ability to pass an OSHA certification for any equipment requiring it
  • Ability to move 75 pounds unassisted

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum six months of related experience required (Warehouse and/or Hospitality Experience Preferred)
