Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers, resolving issues, and efficiently processing sales transactions at assigned cash registers. Maintain a well-merchandised store and assist with operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous and efficient checkout service
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
• Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and suggestive selling promotional photo products

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
