Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Deliver a distinctive customer experience by registering sales, resolving issues, and assisting with various store operations, including merchandising and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Engage customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers
• Recommend items for sale and suggest trade-up and/or companion items
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised
• Take inventory and maintain records, check in and price merchandise
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement
• Assist in stock rotation using the first in, first out method and restock outs
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and poster print
• Assume web pick-up responsibilities including monitoring, filling, and delivering orders
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred. Prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.
