Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Deliver a delightful customer experience by engaging with customers, processing sales transactions efficiently, and assisting with various store operations to ensure a well-maintained and organized retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
• Recommend items for sale and suggest trade-up and/or companion items
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Keep counters and shelves clean, well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Check in and price merchandise as required or directed by store management
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement
• Assist in stock rotation using the first in, first out method and restock outs for consumable items
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and promotional photo product sales
• Assume web pick-up responsibilities, filling and delivering online orders
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate

Requirements

• Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico)

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
