Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Deliver excellent customer service in a retail pharmacy setting, operating a cash register, merchandising products, and maintaining store appearance. This role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with store policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Recommend items for sale and suggest trade-up or companion items
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Check in and price merchandise as required or directed by store management
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and suggestive selling of promotional photo products
• Assume web pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring orders, filling orders, and delivering to customers
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
