Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience by registering sales, resolving issues, and assisting with various store operations, ensuring efficient service and a positive environment.

Responsibilities

• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service to customers
• Engage customers by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members
• Recommend items for sale, including trade-up and companion products
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Maintain clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves, take inventory, and maintain records
• Check in and price merchandise as directed by store manager or shift leader
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement according to policies
• Utilize working knowledge of store systems and equipment
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and suggestive selling
• Assume web pick-up responsibilities by monitoring, filling, and delivering orders
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly store
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
• Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by Manager or assigned by corporate

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
