Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Deliver distinctive customer experiences by registering sales, assisting with purchases, and resolving issues at the cash register and in the photo area. Provide courteous and efficient service while maintaining store appearance and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
• Engage customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
• Recommend items for sale, trade-up, and companion items
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Check in and price merchandise as directed by store manager or shift leader
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
• Assist in stock rotation using the first in, first out method and restock outs
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and suggestive sell of promotional photo products
• Assume web pick-up responsibilities, filling and delivering orders to customers
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Qualifications

• Entry level with preference for six months retail experience.

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
