Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Deliver a distinctive customer experience by greeting customers, resolving issues, and processing sales transactions, while also assisting with store operations and display maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommend items for sale, including trade-up and/or companion items.
• Register customer purchases, process payments, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records.
• Check in and price merchandise as required or directed.
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures.
• Assist in stock rotation for consumable items, using the first in, first out method and restock outs.
• Has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and suggestive selling promotional photo products.
• Assume web pick-up responsibilities (monitor orders, fill orders, deliver orders to customers).
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
