Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Deliver a distinctive customer experience by greeting customers, resolving issues, and efficiently processing sales. Maintain store appearance and merchandise, and actively manage inventory and product placement.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Share customer service best practices with all team members
• Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
• Recommend items for sale, including trade-up and/or companion items
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised
• Take inventory and maintain records
• Check in and price merchandise as directed by store manager or shift leader
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
• Complete resets and revisions as directed
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
• Assist with stock rotation using the first in, first out method and restock outs for consumable items
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products
• Assume web pick-up responsibilities including monitoring orders, filling orders, and delivering orders to customers
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
