Customer Service Associate - Temporary

About This Role

Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by registering sales, assisting with products and services, and resolving customer issues. Support store operations by maintaining cleanliness, merchandising, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide efficient checkout service
• Engage customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members
• Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest trade-up/companion items
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Keep counters and shelves clean, well-merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
• Check in and price merchandise as directed by store manager or shift leader
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
• Assist in stock rotation using the first in, first out method and restock outs for consumable items
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and suggestive selling of promotional photo products
• Assume web pick-up responsibilities for online orders
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
