About This Role

Cooks are responsible for preparing and assembling orders, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment at Zaxby's to create great guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Receive and stock inventory
• Prepare, cook, and assemble orders according to company standards
• Keep the kitchen area clean and organized
• Maintain food safety and quality standards by following standard operating procedures
• Maintain product levels in assigned stations
• Accurately assemble and package guest orders
• Operate food preparation and cooking equipment safely
• Assist with inventory and storage management
• Inform management of maintenance needs
• Assist with guest service and front of house operations
• Complete all required training

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Available to work 9 to 28 hours per week
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk continuously
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to use hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
• Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing
• Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgement
• Ability to work in hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
• Ability to operate and work safely with restaurant equipment (knives, fryers)
