Controller Manufacturing

About This Role

The Controller will oversee general ledger accounting, financial statements, and account analysis, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role involves managing staff, supporting month-end close processes, and assisting with audits within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger and month-end close processes
• Prepare financial statements, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and cash flow statements
• Perform cost accounting, inventory management, and analyze manufacturing variances
• Review and prepare month/year-end reports, accrual schedules, and ad-hoc analysis
• Assist with external and internal audits, working with outside CPA firms
• Maintain accounting files and ensure accuracy of account figures
• Manage and mentor accounting staff

Requirements

• Strong GL month end close experience
• Experience preparing financial statements, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, cash flow statements
• Cost Accounting experience
• Inventory management experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing variances
• Experience managing staff
• Proficiency with ERP Systems, QuickBooks, ORACLE/SAP
