Contracting Analyst

About This Role

The Contracting Analyst works for the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development, performing complex spreadsheet analyses using a variety of City systems. This role assists in contract creation and modification, ensuring compliance and accurate financial reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with ACCO, IT, and Financial Management to create new awards/contract solicitations and modify existing contracts via primary contracting systems like PASSPort and CCMS
• Monitor the status of work assignments, ensuring compliance with deadlines
• Establish budget codes, funding sources, budget categories, and components for the contract award process
• Prepare information on request by researching appropriate systems to provide data
• Apply creative troubleshooting and problem-solving methods to correct errors and reconcile financial information
• Perform data entry and review reports for accuracy and completeness
• Provide technical assistance to community-based organizational service staff on contracting and budget activities
• Assist with the creation of RFPs, renewals/modifications of existing contracts, and negotiated acquisitions

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in community work or community centered activities (with bachelor's degree)
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel (MATCH, VLOOKUP, INDEX)
• Experience reviewing and reconciling complex financial data

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or equivalent education and/or experience
• 2 years of experience in community work or community centered activities related to the duties, or 6 years with high school diploma, with minimum of one year experience as described in duties

Nice to Have

• Experience with PASSPort and CCMS
• Familiarity with other NYC systems (FMS)
• Strong analytical skills
