City Park Worker Crew Chief

About This Role

Supervise and train seasonal employees in general park maintenance, including landscaping and facility cleaning, while monitoring tasks, equipment, and reporting progress to Workforce Development.

Responsibilities

• Provide well-structured and supervised training and assignments for seasonal employees in areas directed by Workforce Development.
• Instruct in general maintenance work, including lawn care, snow removal, cultivating, fertilizing, hedge trimming, sweeping, raking, and emptying receptacles.
• Instruct in cleaning and maintaining various surfaces and facilities, such as comfort stations.
• Assign tasks in all subject areas and ensure employees perform duties satisfactorily.
• Provide regular feedback to employees and supervision regarding employee progress.
• Monitor the distribution of tools, supplies, and clothing to employees; alert Supervisor about inventory status changes.
• Drive vehicles and operate other motorized equipment; perform safety checks on facilities and equipment.
• Regularly report work productivity, performance, disciplinary issues, accidents, and incidents to Workforce Development Park Supervisor 1.
• Record activity and outcomes, run reports, and schedule appointments in the POP Database daily.
