Community Associate

About This Role

Support the execution and optimization of NYCHA's investment and funding strategy by monitoring bank accounts, processing cash transactions, and preparing financial reports and forecasts. Contribute to process improvement and automation efforts within treasury operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution and optimization of NYCHA investment/Funding strategy in accordance with internal policies
• Monitor Authority bank accounts daily to ensure proper funding levels and make recommendations on funds available for investments
• Support preparation of daily cash position, forecasts and variance analysis to identify funds available for investments
• Process cash transactions (wire, book, ach) timely and accurately
• Support per diem expense credit card program for resident relocations in connection with Lead abatement property improvement program
• Seek process improvement opportunities and contribute to automation efforts within treasury operations
• Prepare reports, summarize portfolio performance and short-term liquidity
• Support special projects/analysis assigned Manager and Treasurer
• Support bi-weekly payroll distribution process as needed
• Support repo investment activity as needed
• Support portfolio performance reporting

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in community work or community centered activities; minimum of one year of experience in finance, ideally in Treasury (preferred)

• Bachelors Degree from accredited college
• Minimum of one year of experience in finance, ideally in Treasury
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proactive problem solver
• Advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables)
