Project Engineer

About This Role

This Project Engineer role, under supervision, supports the Division of Bridges by responding to record drawing requests from internal staff, other agencies, and consultants. The position involves reviewing contract, as-built, and shop drawings for bridge capital projects to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Engineer in the Engineering Support section of the Division of Bridges
• Assist in responding to record drawing requests from in-house staff, other agencies, and consultants
• Assist in reviewing contract, as built, and shop drawings for bridge capital projects
• Perform other related duties as needed

Requirements

• Serving permanently in the title or reachable on the civil service list
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in civil engineering and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work; or a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and a Master's degree from an accredited college in civil engineering

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering or a Baccalaureate degree with a Master's degree in civil engineering
• 1 year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work, or a Master's degree in civil engineering

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
