Protect a construction site by guarding against criminal activity, vandalism, accidents, and fires, while also providing excellent customer service. This role requires using your personal vehicle and cell phone for duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service
- Guard posts, including outdoor positions, building lobbies, or reception areas
- Utilize personal cell phone to make hourly wellness phone calls into the DK Command Center during overnight shifts
- Conduct hourly foot patrol of interior and exterior to check entrances, doors, windows, and vents are locked and secure
- Take inventory of on-site equipment
- Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas
- Check for employee and vendor identifications
- Look for suspicious persons, packages, and activities
- Report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair
Requirements
- Personal vehicle and valid driver's license
- Working cell phone capable of making hourly wellness calls
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent education certification (e.g., GED)
- Ability to pass a drug screening (including for marijuana) at time of hire and randomly thereafter
- No felony convictions
- No misdemeanor convictions related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances, or two or more alcohol-related offenses
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 8-12 hours, including stairs
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to respond to emergency situations
- Ability to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted if necessary)
- Ability to hear conversations in loud environments (in-person or via radio)
- Ability to use a smart mobile phone or computer to check emails and complete online training
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills
- Excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude
- Ability to complete required trainings on time and adhere to policies
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
