The Project Manager will lead electrical construction projects, overseeing scheduling, budgets, and timelines while collaborating with field operations to ensure successful project completion. This role is based on a jobsite in Conesville, Ohio and requires managing project finances and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Mitigate and manage project risk, and elevate concerns - and solutions - quickly to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
- Create and manage the full project schedule from project kickoff to project closeout
- Manage all project finance requirements, including billings, project setup, project buy-out, project cost control, change order management, and cost-to-complete
- Earn the trust of clients by cultivating relationships, communicating swiftly, collaborating, and solving challenges
- Chair project meetings including planning, progress updates, and reviews with customers
- Work with departments across the organization to ensure that project materials are available and in place as needed
- Serve as a key leader to our project team, and provide clear communication and guidance to all team members
- Understand the full scope of the project contract and negotiate changes as needed
- Review all project documents including estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Maintain a high degree of safety on our work across the jobsite
- Ensure the timely completion of all job closeout procedures
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in commercial construction project management or equivalent field management experience
- Organized, great at prioritization, and strong attention to detail
- Great communicator, team player, and ready to work with colleagues across our jobsites and organization
- Leader effective at motivating and mentoring junior colleagues
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in commercial construction project management or equivalent field management experience
Nice to Have
- Construction Management degree
- Engineering degree
- Construction Management Program certificate, or another related degree
- Experience with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $5M to $50M
- Extensive knowledge in construction management software
