This Senior-Level Project Manager will independently lead and manage multiple construction project lifecycles, ensuring successful execution within budget and timeline. The role demands expertise in construction processes and client communication, driving project success for a full-service construction management firm.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end construction project lifecycle, from initial planning to final delivery
- Develop project plans and timelines, setting goals, determining tasks, and coordinating resources to ensure on-time and within-budget completion
- Manage the budget and financial performance of projects, monitoring costs, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders, establishing expectations and providing regular updates on progress and issues
- Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors and vendors
- Monitor project progress, making necessary adjustments to keep projects on schedule
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including building codes, safety standards, and healthcare regulations
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to align project design and construction with objectives
- Resolve conflicts and issues during projects, ensuring all changes are properly documented and approved
- Ensure client satisfaction upon project completion and timely, efficient project handover
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
Requirements
- 8+ years in project management roles within the construction industry
- In-depth understanding of the full construction process, including construction laws and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, delivering them on time and within budget
- Strong leadership and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make decisive decisions under pressure
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (i.e., Procore, Microsoft Project)
- Experience managing/overseeing construction projects in a hospital/medical setting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field -OR- equivalent experience
- 8+ years in project management roles within the construction industry
