Construction Project Manager

About This Role

Plan and supervise construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient completion within budget. Collaborate with various professionals and manage resources to deliver successful projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and architects to determine project specifications
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to achieve profitable agreements
• Communicate daily with clients
• Determine required resources including manpower, equipment, and materials, adhering to budgetary limitations
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to meet deadlines
• Acquire and monitor equipment and material stocks to prevent inadequacies
• Hire subcontractors and staff, allocating responsibilities
• Supervise and guide laborers, foremen, and superintendents
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as Construction Project Manager
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with construction/project management software
• Familiarity with scheduling software
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Leadership abilities

Qualifications

• BSc/BA in engineering, building science, construction management or relevant field
• 5+ years of experience as a construction project manager, preferably on federal government projects, with 3+ years in federal government construction project management

Nice to Have

• Experience on federal government projects
• CMIC experience
• P6 experience
