Construction Project Manager

About This Role

Lead agricultural facility projects for EBM Construction, managing planning, coordination, and on-site supervision for construction, renovation, and maintenance of agricultural structures and material handling systems. This role optimizes workflow for crews, equipment, and materials across EBM divisions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with crew foremen, team members, warehouse staff, clients, contractors, and design professionals to define project scope, quality requirements, and work procedures.
• Manage and resolve construction-related issues and client concerns.
• Coordinate project activities by determining crew size, equipment needs, and scheduling to ensure timely completion, including arranging specialized equipment.
• Develop and maintain short-term schedules for repairs and maintenance projects.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports; monitor billing, finalize documentation, and protect profitability through change orders.
• Travel and stay near project sites during construction and start-up phases to monitor progress, resolve issues, assist subcontractors/crew members, and adjust schedules.
• Investigate damages, accidents, or delays to ensure compliance with guidelines and specifications.
• Enforce on-site safety procedures in accordance with federal and local regulations.
• Assist with material handling and storage, including heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, climbing, and working in tight spaces under challenging field conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years managing large construction projects
• Strong knowledge of materials, processes, methods, and tools used in agricultural construction, renovation, and maintenance
• Ability to read and understand construction specifications (Architectural / Structural drawings, ASI's, RFI's, CPR's)
• Proficiency with iPad/iOS, Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD
• Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks, lift up to 90lbs occasionally
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years managing large construction projects. Experience in agricultural process systems, particularly grain storage/handling and feed mill facilities preferred.
