Clinical Supervisor

About This Role

This Clinical Supervisor role involves delivering daily operational excellence by coaching and supervising staff while serving as a clinical expert in the department. The supervisor will also perform education/staff development functions to promote high-quality, cost-effective healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and supervision to staff
• Serve as a clinical expert practitioner specific to the department
• Provide education and staff development functions
• Promote high quality, cost effective health care
• Demonstrate expert clinical knowledge and skill in unit specialization
• Coordinate patient care throughout the continuum
• Work collaboratively with other disciplines in problem analysis and resolution
• Optimize staff utilization and patient care assignments
• Participate in human resource management including staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluation
• Supervise the on-boarding of new staff

Requirements

• BSN
• 3 years hospital Case Management experience
• RN License in Maryland

Qualifications

• BSN is required
• 3 years hospital Case Management experience required

Nice to Have

• Utilization Management experience
• ACM Certification
• CCM Certification
