About This Role

Assist physicians with examinations and procedures to meet the medical needs of patients while maintaining a professional and confidential environment. Coordinate patient flow, phone calls, and lab work to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures to serve the medical needs of patients
• Coordinate the flow of patients, phone calls, lab work, and nurse visits
• Provide professional nursing care in compliance with the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies
• Maintain flow of patients in accordance with appointment times
• Collect subjective and objective data and contribute to patient assessment, documenting appropriately
• Make accurate and timely observations and document changes in the patient's condition
• Retrieve messages and respond to calls from various medical entities as delegated by a licensed healthcare provider
• Keep exam rooms clean, disinfected, and stocked with necessary supplies
• Schedule follow-up procedures/appointments and specialty appointments
• Administer injections, vital signs, vision and auditory testing as delegated

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
