About This Role

This role involves acting as a crucial liaison between family courts, state, and federal agencies, as well as the public, to ensure children across Pennsylvania receive financial support. You will analyze program effectiveness, provide technical assistance, and represent the Commonwealth in legal proceedings to enforce child support.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between the Domestic Relations Division, county courts, county assistance offices, and federal and state agencies.
  • Analyze and evaluate the Child Support Enforcement Program.
  • Provide technical assistance and training related to child support enforcement.
  • Maintain data integrity within the program.
  • Represent the Commonwealth's interests during appeals and hearings.
  • Conduct outreach initiatives with outside agencies.
  • Work with customers to resolve child support issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in a domestic relations office interpreting policies and analyzing information, or four years experience in domestic relations, or a bachelor's degree.
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the Philadelphia area (Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, or Montgomery County, PA) by start of employment.
  • Meet PA residency requirements.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass an enhanced background check, including a fingerprint-based federal records check, PA State Police clearance, local law enforcement checks, and a citizenship/residency verification, due to access to Federal Tax Information (FTI).

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and training including one year in a domestic relations office which included the interpretation, application and explanation of policies and regulations and analysis of information
