About This Role

Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, process prescriptions accurately, and deliver excellent customer service within a retail pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Engage customers and patients, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Perform duties including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and checking for interactions
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register and handle cash as required
• Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist
• Process manual claims for third party program prescription services
• Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
• PTCB certification or willingness to earn it

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
• Good math skills
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of store inventory control
