About This Role

Assist pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care, including preparing prescriptions, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service for patients at Walgreens.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and Company policy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager, including entering patient/drug info and filling prescriptions.
• Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required.
• Process manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities in accordance with Company asset protection techniques.
• Assist pharmacist in administering clinical services, including collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing relationships with the local medical community.
• Ensure the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, and orderly.
• Earn and maintain PTCB certification.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager, acquiring continuing education credits.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours

Nice to Have

• Six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prior work experience with Walgreens
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of store inventory control
