Provide hands-on care and emotional support to senior residents, upholding their dignity and safety in a home-like environment. Assist residents with daily activities and engage them in life enrichment programs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas
- Help residents maintain independence
- Promote dignity and physical safety of each resident
- Participate and assist residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating)
- Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to communicate effectively with Residents, management, and co-workers
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred
Nice to Have
- Certified Nurse’s Aid certification
- Previous experience working with seniors
