This Brand Manager role drives brand growth for assigned categories and brands, developing short and long-term marketing strategies and annual plans. You will lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure brand relevance, profitability, and alignment with corporate goals, focusing on consumer insights and competitive landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for category and brand volume and share objectives
- Collaborate and lead cross-functionally to ensure brands remain relevant to consumers and drive profitable corporate growth
- Collaborate with Director, Brand Strategy to lead the development of brand positioning and long-term marketing strategy
- Lead the strategy for consumer-relevant, annual marketing plans to achieve sales, margin, and brand health objectives
- Lead the lifecycle strategy and coordinate new product development from ideation to launch
- Leverage consumer, category, and brand knowledge to identify business-building initiatives
- Lead regular analyses of brands, key initiatives, competition, category, customer, and consumer to enhance performance
- Lead insight gathering research to collect consumer and competitive knowledge for brand evolution
- Maintain understanding of internal brand metrics and contribute to sales projections and financial planning
- Responsible for managing portfolio including SKU rationalization, mix strategies, and margin optimization
- Evaluate product portfolio and marketplace, making recommendations for new product launches and improvements
- Analyze market potential for opportunities and develop competitive concepts
- Analyze viability and margin/sales potential for new geographies, categories, and consumers
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability of assigned products/categories while maintaining quality
- Communicate regularly with Sales, Customer Marketing, and Communications team for marketing program implementation
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 7-10 years of experience in Brand Marketing
- New product development and launch experience
- Nielsen or Circana experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is preferred
- 7-10 years of experience in Brand Marketing
