Lead and manage a branch to deliver excellent customer experience, achieve financial goals, and ensure compliance with banking regulations. This role involves coaching and developing team members, identifying customer financial needs, and promoting U.S. Bank products and services within the community.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all team members provide excellent customer experience reflecting U.S. Bank culture and core values
- Lead and manage branch(es) to meet goals and ensure compliance with banking laws and regulations
- Coach, develop, mentor, and train team members, exercising independent judgment in duties
- Utilize effective communication and critical thinking to identify customer financial resources
- Provide direction and recommendations for appropriate products and services to fulfill customer needs
- Help individual and business customers reach financial goals through collaboration with partners
- Act as a leader for customer experience, providing motivation and direction for the team
- Expand customer base and promote U.S. Bank products and services in the local market/community
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in sales, retail management, or banking environment
- NMLS registration (required upon hire)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to four years of experience working in a sales, retail management, or banking environment
Nice to Have
- Thorough product/service knowledge and thorough knowledge of regulatory, policy and compliance issues
- Solid understanding of retail product philosophy, including policies, procedures, documentation, and systems
- Thorough knowledge of teller and platform functions
- Effective analytical skills to evaluate credit requests, prepare budgets and determine trends
- Effective interpersonal communication, leadership, relationship management, time management, sales activities management, and sales ability skills
- Ability to evaluate and resolve problems and issues with minimal guidance
- Demonstrated success in retail sales environment
- Working knowledge of employment practices including rewards and recognition, employee development, and change management
