About This Role

This program offers free training to individuals interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, including classroom instruction and supervised clinical practicum, with opportunities for sponsored state testing upon successful completion and employment.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom instruction and pass all tests with at least 80%
• Complete 75 hours of supervised clinical practicum in a long-term care facility
• Perform all required skills successfully during practicum, including the initial 16 hours with the instructor
• Work with a preceptor to assist with organization and time management during practicum
• Demonstrate and get all skills checklists (RCPs) signed off by clinical instructor or licensed nursing professional
• Submit completed skills checklists (RCPs) at the completion of clinicals
• Complete and get signed a daily clinical sign-in record detailing hours worked and supervisor's signature
• Pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical prior to starting the course
• Attend all classroom sessions as mandatory program requirements dictate
