About This Role

Provide nursing care to patients as a Charge Nurse, overseeing patient's Comprehensive Care Plan and supervising direct resident care personnel on your shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients on your shift
• Follow the Comprehensive Care Plan for patients
• Assist Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in patient records
• Supervise direct resident care personnel on your shift

Requirements

• Currently licensed and registered to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Indiana
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment process and screening
• Ability to pass a physical examination for gainful employment
• Professional manner and appearance
• Proficient in nursing policies and procedures
• Proficient in administration of medication, possible side effects, treatment administration, local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to resident care
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices
• Knowledge of physical, psychological, social and medical needs of residents
• Knowledge of organizational structure and duties of employees under supervision of unit manager
• Competent in supervision and leadership
• Caring attitude
• Observant
• Ability to foster and maintain a good working relationship with other staff
• Good judgement and emotional stability
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Exposure Category I: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues
