About This Role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for the Post Coronary Care Unit at Community Medical Center. The RN provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and acts as an interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards
• Assure awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics
• Assure safety in practice and principles of evidence-based practice
• Report identified safety issues, such as hazardous environments and medical errors
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served
• Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members
• Collaborate with other patient care providers
• Consistently set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualize the plan of care to address specific patient’s needs

Requirements

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• BLS certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred or to be completed within 5 years)

Nice to Have

• BSN (or completion within 5 years upon hire)
