About This Role

Utilize the nursing process to promote and restore patients' health status, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families in an oncology setting.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to promote and restore patient’s health status
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
• Provide physical and psychological support to patients, family members and significant others
• Supervise assigned team members
• Establish positive rapport with patient and family
• Promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals and providing education
• Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to maintain continuity among nursing teams
• Identify, synthesize and interpret data sources using clinical judgment to respond to dynamic situations
• Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and health outcomes
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Requirements

• ADN, Diploma or Bachelors of Science in Nursing
• Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina

Qualifications

• ADN, Diploma or Bachelors of Science in Nursing
• None, new graduate RN's are considered except for specific units without post-graduation experience or completion of LMC's Nurse Residency Program.
