The Operations Manager Trainee will participate in a hands-on training program to prepare them for a front-line Operations Manager role, focusing on developing teams, enhancing operational efficiency, and improving customer satisfaction within the waste management industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline employees
- Review best practices to enhance daily performance
- Partner with Drivers and Technicians to develop job-related skills
- Complete the assigned OMT training curriculum and all other assigned training
- Actively practice and seek feedback on coaching conversations
- Collaborate with all frontline managers to learn day-to-day business operations
- Develop knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety programs and systems
- Understand operational business processes, systems & tools
- Learn performance management, dispatch & routing, and fleet maintenance processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant work experience
- 2 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirements)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Open to relocation within a certain geographic area
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or High School Diploma/GED (accredited) with two (2) years of relevant work experience
- 2 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirements)
