Behavioral Health Tech

About This Role

This role involves providing direct behavioral health patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and therapeutic interventions. The Behavioral Health Tech will observe and record patient behavior, report changes, and establish therapeutic relationships with patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with performing activities of daily living
• Provide or assist with providing direct patient care and therapeutic interventions based on patient care assignments from RN
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities
• Report any changes in condition and suggest modifications to the treatment plan
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients
• Apply knowledge of group dynamics in participating in therapeutic groups and maintaining the milieu
• Monitor patients to ensure safety, including but not limited to rounding, environmental and safety checks
• Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Requirements

• Associate's degree in behavioral health or a related field, OR equivalent experience/education
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) certification

• Associate's degree in the behavioral health or a related field, or equivalent years of experience and education
• No experience required
