Bakery Lead

About This Role

As a Bakery Department Lead, you will drive sales, supervise associates, and ensure the department meets company and regulatory standards. You will focus on product quality, inventory management, and team development while using digital tools to enhance operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Bakery department team to achieve business goals
• Communicate department goals and execute company programs
• Adhere to policies and advocate for members, associates, and the company
• Collaborate with other team leaders to meet member expectations across the club
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of business processes, backroom operations, product specifications, and seasonality
• Ensure the Bakery department meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, equipment, production, safety, sanitation, and compliance
• Share knowledge and train the team on new products, recipes, and production specifications
• Leverage digital tools to plan sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
• Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality
• Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area
• Maintain accurate inventory, audit, and compliance standards
• Produce and display merchandise according to the merchandise layout plan
• Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs
• Monitor progress and results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities
• Lead and participate in teams, providing advice, feedback, and support

Requirements

• 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months experience supervising a team
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
