Drive sales, services, and customer engagement as an Assistant Store Manager, ensuring the store is ready for business. Lead a team to build customer loyalty, provide complete solutions, and achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, services, and customer engagement in the store
• Ensure the store is ready for business operations
• Establish customer relationships to build loyalty and provide total solutions
• Guide team in being positive, inclusive, and collaborative
• Provide strong leadership in community, customer service, sales, and team development
• Ensure store culture embodies company values and commitment to the community
• Develop a high-performing team focused on exceptional store experience and consultative selling
• Coach, train, and role-play with team to deliver results
• Attain sales and services goals, profit margin, and execute store operations
• Establish business cadence for sales readiness
• Provide daily direction for merchandising opportunities
• Assist with delegating operational tasks in partnership with the General Manager
• Share responsibility for total store operations and cost control as a Floor Leader
• Champion company initiatives, adapting to change and new responsibilities

Requirements

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry
• Experience managing and coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment
• Ability to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs
• Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptability to changing business priorities
• Ability to review results against business goals and strategies and deliver plans for growth and improvement
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10 - 50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry

• Experience using financial metrics to track sales progress to drive profitable sales and margins
