This Assistant Store Manager role supports the Store Manager in driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and overseeing store operations. The role involves managing the store in the manager's absence and leading a team to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers
- Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including execution of customer service programs
- Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak business hours
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring
- Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling/participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates
- Ensure timely processing of buy online/ship to store, hub, and store to store transfers and DC add orders
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and accurately
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures and securing money/deposits
- Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, and in-store equipment
Requirements
- Sales Specialist Training
- Assistant Manager Certification
- RSS Certification
Nice to Have
- Certified Parts Professional Certification
- ASE Certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
