Parts Specialist

About This Role

Provide outstanding customer service to retail and installer customers, ensuring accurate part selection, efficient transactions, and resolution of customer complaints. Support store management with operational tasks and maintain store presentation.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist in merchandise selection
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists with professional customers
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by accurately looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending related items
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept payments, and process credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival, stocking shelves, cleaning
• Perform various daily operational tasks, including preparing merchandise returns and assisting with inventory
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment upon completion of training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, battery testing, scan vehicle trouble codes)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• ASE certification
