Parts Specialist

About This Role

The Parts Specialist provides exceptional service to retail and installer customers, assisting with parts selection and inquiries while supporting store management tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in merchandise selection
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position
• Provide excellent service to phone customers by answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending items
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept payments, and process credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking, and cleaning
• Perform various daily operational tasks, including processing returns to distribution center and assisting with inventory counts
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
• Perform various in-store services for customers (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan vehicle trouble codes)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Ability to multitask, handling phone and in-store customers simultaneously

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
• ASE certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
