Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

Assist the Store Manager with all daily operations, ensuring the store is clean, stocked, and organized, while directing and prioritizing the work of store personnel. Maintain quality brand image standards and perform various sales and customer service duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform management duties as assigned or in the Store Manager’s absence
• Direct and prioritize the work of store personnel
• Enforce daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, stocked and organized
• Maintain quality brand image standards and pass evaluations
• Maintain inventory in coolers, drink boxes, store shelves and display units
• Clean and maintain equipment and ready high-margin products such as coffee, fountain drinks
• Assist with the completion of daily paperwork and computer entry
• Perform all duties of a Sales Associate and Supervisor
• Attend monthly safety and security meetings

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 1 year previous managerial experience in a convenience store, restaurant or retail environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and be available to respond to incidents and emergencies
• Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive, outgoing personality and excellent customer service skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 1 year previous managerial experience in a convenience store, restaurant or retail environment

Nice to Have

• Previous cash handling and customer service experience
