Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

The Assistant Store Manager assists the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day store operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. This role involves supervising and training hourly employees, maintaining operational standards, and fostering excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline
• Supervise, develop, train, and discipline non-exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards
• Monitor shift cash handling and inventory, assisting in investigations of shortages/overages
• Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets, and records as prescribed by management
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and/or other administrative duties, adhering to cash control policies
• Manage cash management procedures, including bank deposits and change orders
• Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards according to Global Partner's store image standards
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation
• Ensure store is secure and safe; comply with all safety and environmental guidelines and report issues
• Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate gasoline deliveries
• Engage in all company promotional initiatives
• Promote a high level of guest service

Requirements

• 1-2 years supervisory experience
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately
• Ability to perform basic computer functions
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (outside, cooler, etc.)
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladder/stairs and lift up to 25 lbs. during a shift
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Vocational or Technical Education High School Diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

• 1-2 years supervisory experience
