Assistant Store Manager, Bashford Manor

About This Role

This role supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and driving sales for Liquor Barn, Party Mart, and DEP'S, a subsidiary of GoPuff. The Assistant Store Manager will provide excellent customer service, manage inventory, and lead a team to achieve store goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide high levels of customer service and drive sales
• Handle difficult situations and demonstrate organizational skills
• Manage inventory control and assist in reviewing orders
• Collaborate with corporate, vendors, and the buyer team
• Interview, hire, and conduct employee orientations, training, and development
• Coach and guide employees to improve customer experience
• Maintain expert knowledge of BRS products to provide customer recommendations
• Communicate with the General Manager regarding business and store team needs
• Provide support and feedback for overall performance of the store and employees
• Ensure all company standards are followed, including marketing, promotions, and pricing
• Perform cashier functions and adhere to minor policy during customer transactions
• Maintain store safety standards and cleanliness, including sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms
• Participate in product education classes and training

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• 3 years of retail management experience
• Ability to work full-time employment as business requires (nights, weekends and holidays)
• Strong comprehension, written, and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence to customers and team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to count cash and make change accurately
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of retail management experience

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in a team environment requiring professional and practical communication skills
• Desire to continually develop retail sales skills and knowledge of products and services
