This Assistant Property Manager role supports the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a 180-unit market-rate community. Key responsibilities include administrative, financial, and resident relations duties, ensuring effective property management.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephones and provide leasing information, schedule appointments for tours, and take maintenance requests
- Assist residents with their needs and concerns
- Work closely with the Property Manager to learn all management aspects, including administrative and financial duties
- Assist with creating monthly reports for renewals, rents, leasing, traffic, and resident retention programs
- Assist with lease renewals and make recommendations on marketing strategies
- Manage the collection of rent and submit notices as required
- Distribute late notices, 3-day notices, 7-day notices, and violation notices to residents
- Physically walk and inspect property on a daily basis, including vacant apartments
Requirements
- 1-2 years of property management-related experience
- Strong working knowledge of multifamily property management
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations
- Proficiency in internet software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proficiency in onsite or Yardi (CRM, Voyager, P2P) software
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred but not required
- One or two years of property management-related experience is required
