ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist

About This Role

Perform X-ray testing and Medical Assistant duties for patients at an urgent care clinic, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Operate diagnostic equipment, develop film and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies
• Perform Medical Assistant duties, including obtaining and documenting patient vital signs and history
• Greet patients, communicate wait times, and provide direction in the treatment process
• Provide solutions to patient problems and seek help in emergent/hazardous situations
• Execute follow-up calls with urgency
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
• Assists with patient transfers and procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, following established clinical and regulatory procedures
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions to Manager or provider
• Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with educational resources
• Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• AR State X-Ray License
• Experience as an ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Tech

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
