ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist

About This Role

The ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist performs x-ray testing using knowledge of anatomy and physiology, operates diagnostic equipment, and assists with Medical Assistant duties. This role is crucial for patient care and ensures timely and accurate radiologic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement
• Operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies
• Perform Medical Assistant duties
• Greet patients promptly and communicate wait times and next steps in treatment
• Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize emergent situations
• Execute follow-up calls with urgency
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures
• Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, weight, history, medications, and allergies
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Perform necessary quality control procedures for quality exams
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, following established clinical and regulatory procedures
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions
• Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills
• Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• AR State X-Ray License

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
