Armed Security Specialist

About This Role

Serve as an Armed Security Specialist, maintaining a visible security presence, observing and reporting suspicious activities, and ensuring the safety and security of premises. This part-time role requires excellent customer service and adherence to security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers while maintaining a professional demeanor
• Observe and report suspicious activities and incidents
• Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in designated areas
• Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas performing security officer duties
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas and follow proper access procedures
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for all by enforcing policies and reporting safety concerns
• Assist in emergencies, including administering CPR/First Aid/AED care and communicating with emergency personnel
• Maintain professional communication with client staff and site management, keeping them updated on communications

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Must be a current holder of a valid, unexpired Michigan CPL
• Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be of good moral character and have the ability to pass a criminal background check, with no felony convictions and specific misdemeanor restrictions
• Must be able to pass a psychological evaluation
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and annually thereafter
• Must present a friendly, positive, professional image, adhering to appearance and grooming policy
• Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Must be able to read and write in the English language and interpret documents
• Intermediate computer skills required
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and work indoors or outdoors in any weather conditions for 8-12 hours at a time
• Must be able to lift 70lbs
• Weekend availability is required
